AEC Narrow Fabrics is Moving Forward Honoring Keith Crisco's Legacy

Founding Partner, Former Chairman and President was Renowned for His Vision and Leadership

Asheboro, North Carolina, May 14, 2014

Continuing his momentum and building on the firm foundation Keith Crisco created for the company, AEC Narrow Fabrics is charting a full speed ahead course as it honors the life of its founding partner, former Chairman and President.  Crisco died unexpectedly on May 12 after an accidental fall in his home.

"Keith will be sorely missed," said Larry Himes, CEO. "His leadership and character shaped AEC Narrow Fabrics for more than 20 years. Keith's exceptional ability to build good relationships nurtured its phenomenal growth since 1986.  Integrity was important to him; he always kept his word. We are dedicating ourselves to continued growth and expansion by building the way Keith would want us to do."

Innovative products, excellent quality, good value and superb service were the four cornerstones for the company from its inception.  When AEC celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2011, Keith Crisco commented, “When we started our company we were in the insert elastic business; now we make a wide range of narrow fabrics. We’ve built our company over time by taking good care of our customers and diversifying our products to reach broader audiences.  Now our narrow fabrics are in everything from clothing to mattresses, medical devices and automobiles. However, our mission, company culture and commitment to Asheboro haven’t changed. ”

Investment in new technologies, well-designed narrow fabric products, and expansion into worldwide markets have positioned AEC as a significant supplier with major apparel, medical, home furnishings and industrial markets.  Robert Lawson, President, noted "AEC's manufacturing operations in Asheboro, NC and  in Honduras and El Salvador have exponentially increased our versatility for providing knitted, woven and jacquard narrow fabrics with sophisticated finishes.  As customers discover new needs, we have a creative research and development team stepping up with new products."

CEO Larry Himes commented, "Keith Crisco built AEC with a culture that values families.  His sons John and Jeff and son-in-law Gifford are working here. Employees and their families matter. We have lost a founder, owner, colleague and friend but we will never lose the vision and culture Keith created."
